Maison Vale sits on a coastal plot in Lisbon where the brief asked for fewer rooms and longer light. The plan opens toward a single horizon, with mass used to quiet the street and open the sea.
Order of the plan
Entry is delayed. A compressed threshold leads into a tall room that holds the day. Secondary rooms step back from the view so the primary volume can remain almost empty.
Material judgment
Plaster, stone, and a restrained timber line keep the palette close to the site. Furniture arrives last. The cover photograph is the proof of that sequence: space first, objects after.
