What a cover must carry

A cover must carry judgment: what to show, what to withhold, what to leave quiet.
A project cover is not a postcard. It must carry judgment: what the practice believes is worth showing first, and what can wait for the detail page.
What a cover withholds
Often the strongest cover withholds the obvious view. It shows a material, a void, or a threshold that implies the rest of the work without exhausting it.
Process
We test three frames: one atmospheric, one plan-revealing, one material. The selected cover is the one that still feels accurate after the project has aged a year.
